Melissa has been a Licensed Massage Therapist and practitioner of massage since 2004, after graduating from MTIM.  She has also had the priviledge of teaching at the massage school in the subjects of Universal Precautions, Kinesiology and Joint Dysfunction including Gait and Postural Analysis, Documentation and Charting, Professional Communication and beginning massage.  Melissa has served as Clinic Director for Greenway Massage Team, LLC. 

Currently, Melissa is employed as an independent contractor at the Clip Joint South, and has her own traveling business.

Other education and employment information:

Melissa completed her B.S. in Parks, Recreation and Tourism with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation in 1997 at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  She has worked in a psychiatric setting since 1997 as a nationally Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.  She served as Department Director for a private hospital until she moved to the public, not-for profit sector in 1999 where she was employed under the State until the Universty of Missouri assumed responsibility for the facility.  Melissa continued employment as a Recreation Therapist for the University of Missouri until she graduated from Nursing School in 2009.   She transferred to the Nursing Department as a Registered Nurse in January of 2010 where she continues to work.
